History

Established in 1986 by the Aparicio Family, The Plano Tortilla and Tamale Factory has grown to become a popular destination for a unique culinary and ethnic experience in authentic Mexican comfort food. The Plano Tortilla and Tamale Factory produces its own Flour Tortillas and various types of Tamales, while also specializing in favorites like Menudo and Guisado. The Plano Tortilla and Tamale Factory also offers a wide range of traditional Mexican favorites as well as some Tex-Mex dishes.

For 37 years, it has been our mission at Plano Tortilla Factory to provide high quality and affordable food to our community, and that has not changed.

It is our top priority to protect the health and safety of our guests and employees. Therefore, we want to ensure the community that we are doing everything recommended by the CDC and local agencies in response to the COVID-19 virus, as well as maintaining the quality assurance and safety standards by:

1. Regular cleaning and sanitation of all areas in the restaurant throughout the day.
2. Washing hands frequently and using gloves.
3. Advising and educating employees on all updates for the COVID-19 threat along with preventative measures and guidelines set by the CDC and local authorities.
